Our vision as a school is to promote a desire for learning, critical thinking, problem solving & collaboration by taking authentic ownership of lifelong learning in pursuit of academic and personal success. Since opening our doors in 2019, we have taught an Ohio standards-based curriculum with regular assessment of achievement data to truly individualize instruction for our students. We aim to create an academic school culture that is students first and empowers students to take control of their future by positively reinforcing and celebrating students as they align themselves to academic expectations. Coach Dayatra, Principal

Coach Dayatra earned an Associate Degree from Jones County Junior College in 1993 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in English from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1996. She later attended William Carey University and earned her Master of Education Degree in Gifted and Talented in 2011. Her desire to make a difference is unmatched and she is excited to bring 28 years of educational experience and a passion for people to continue her career with the ACCEL family as Principal of Capital Collegiate Preparatory Academy. Jarod Hawk, Superintendent

Mr. Jarod Hawk joined ACCEL Schools in 2019 with over 11 years of experience as a K-8 educator and school leader in Ohio, South Carolina, and Texas. Prior to joining ACCEL Schools, he worked for IDEA Public Schools where he became Founding Principal of a Health Professions school after completing a two-year Principal Residency program working alongside top-performing principals in the network. Mr. Hawk holds a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Childhood Education from Kent State University as well as a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Ashland University. Additionally, he is currently pursuing his Superintendent License with Ashland University.

Community School

Capital Collegiate Prep is a public, community school. We are our own school district sponsored by the St. Aloysius Orphanage (Charter School Specialists) which provides oversight and enforces academic, fiscal, and legal accountability. We are managed by ACCEL Schools, a high performing network of over 50 charter schools located throughout the United States.

Community Schools (Charter Schools) offer families an alternative to the local public school.
